Baghdad: The Coordination Framework, a key political alliance in Iraq, conducted its periodic meeting in the office of Ammar Al-Hakim, head of the Wisdom Movement, with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani in attendance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting’s agenda included discussions on various files, focusing on the latest developments in Iraqi and regional political affairs. The participants expressed solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, condemning the actions described as ‘unjust war and genocide’ perpetrated by the Zionist entity. The Coordination Framework reiterated Iraq’s commitment to political support through governmental consultations with multiple parties and countries aimed at halting the conflict affecting the Palestinian and Lebanese populations. Additionally, the meeting underscored the continuation of relief and humanitarian efforts.

The attendees also reviewed the government’s preparations for the upcoming population census, emphasizing the significance
of conducting it on the scheduled date across all governorates. This step is seen as crucial for formulating future development and service plans. The government’s initiatives in enhancing security measures, restoring state authority, apprehending wanted individuals, and ensuring their transfer to judicial authorities were also acknowledged and appreciated.

Moreover, the Coordination Framework issued a call to the members of the House of Representatives, urging them to convene next Saturday to resolve the presidency of the council, a position that has remained vacant for an extended period. This move highlights the urgency to address leadership gaps and enhance governmental functionality.
