ISTANBUL: Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm emphasized the importance of leveraging international experiences in the development and management of industrial cities during his visit to Turkey. He highlighted that such exchanges are crucial for advancing the industrial sector and attracting investments. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Al-Najm visited the Gebze Industrial City in Istanbul, recognized as one of the largest specialized hubs for medium and light industries. The visit was part of his ongoing tour in Turkey. During his field tour, the minister reviewed the city's infrastructure and services and was briefed on the technical and administrative frameworks governing the city's industrial projects. The presentation also covered the investment dynamics and the interaction between industrialists and developers within the city. The statement detailed that Minister Al-Najm engaged in discussions concerning the operational processes and modern management systems utili zed in the city. He reiterated the need for Iraq to learn from successful international models to enhance its own industrial sector. This approach, he noted, is essential for fostering development and boosting investments in Iraq. In addition to his site visit, Minister Al-Najm held talks with Turkish industrialists and business leaders about potential investments in Iraq's industrial sector. He explored opportunities for these businesses to establish branches within Iraqi industrial cities, aiming to strengthen bilateral industrial ties.
