MAYSAN: A security force in Maysan arrested a drug dealer and seized narcotic substances in his possession, on the road linking Basra and Maysan. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Maysan Police Command stated that the accused was apprehended while traveling from Basra Governorate towards Maysan Governorate. The arrest was made possible through a well-executed ambush, which was based on reliable information.

The police command revealed that one kilogram of crystal narcotic substance was discovered in the possession of the accused during the search. The individual has been referred to the Anti-Drug Directorate and was arrested in accordance with Article 28 of the Penal Code.
