Baghdad: The Parliamentary Committee for Strategic Planning and Federal Service revealed its vision for the expected ministerial change that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani intends to carry out. The Vice Chairman of the Committee, Mohammed al-Baldawi, stated in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that “the committee began evaluating the third government performance report, after two previous reports in which we submitted a list of recommendations to the government, parliament and political blocs so that the report would be a statistical and graphic reference for evaluating the level of ministerial performance.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Baldawi added, “There are Ministries that have exceeded their program and played an effective role in providing services to citizens, and there are other Ministries whose performance ranged between acceptable and weak, and other ministries whose performance was weak during the past period.” He explained that “the issue of replacing
ministers remains subject to the decision of the Prime Minister, as he is the first person responsible for managing the government, and bears the responsibility of evaluating the performance of ministers in the government program.”

He outlined that “the government program gives the Prime Minister comfort in the ceiling of ministerial change, and therefore we are waiting for the Prime Minister to carry out the required ministerial change during the current period,” expecting that “the ministerial change will include about four ministers, and will not exceed six ministers as a maximum.”
