Baghdad: Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani discussed with the head of the Badr Organization Hadi Al-Amiri the expected tasks of the House of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Badr Organization stated that Al-Amiri received Al-Mashhadani in his office in Baghdad. During the meeting, Al-Amiri congratulated Al-Mashhadani on his recent election as Speaker of the House of Representatives. The discussion focused on the legislative authority’s anticipated responsibilities and the future role of the House of Representatives.

Al-Amiri emphasized his hope that the parliament will actively engage in passing significant laws, enhance its oversight capabilities, and collaborate with the executive authority to serve the national interest. He highlighted that the election of the new Speaker is a crucial step towards bolstering political stability in the country.
