BAGHDAD: The Ministry of Oil has announced a significant increase in associated gas investment quantities, reaching 410 million cubic meters (MCM), sourced from crude oil supplied by the North Oil Company. This development underscores the ministry's commitment to enhancing the efficiency and output of its oil and gas facilities through regular annual maintenance. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Izzat Saber Ismail, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Gas Affairs, emphasized the critical role of the North Gas Company's production lines in achieving this milestone. During a direct field supervision session in Kirkuk Governorate, Ismail highlighted that the company is now contributing to the investment and production of 410 MCM of associated gas. This includes the production of 380 MCM of dry gas, which is pivotal in supporting the national electricity grid and industrial facilities in Kirkuk and surrounding areas. Additionally, the company is producing 1100 tons of liquefied gas to meet the c ooking and automotive fuel needs of citizens in Kirkuk and nearby governorates. Ismail further explained that maintenance work on the North Gas Company's production facilities began on October 25 and is set to conclude before the month's end. The maintenance efforts focus on production line 1000, while work on production line 2000 continues unabated. Ahmed Abdul Majeed Ahmed, Director of the Northern Gas Company, expressed the dedication of the company's workforce in completing the maintenance project swiftly, aiming to shorten the planned duration by maintaining a continuous 24-hour work schedule.
