MUTHANNA: The Border Forces have arrested four individuals accused of engaging in hunting activities without official permissions in the governorates of Muthanna and Dhi Qar, among them, an Arab national. The arrests highlight ongoing efforts to enforce wildlife protection laws in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Command released a statement detailing the operations. The statement revealed that detachments from the Muthanna Customs Police Department, under the Fifth Region Customs Police Directorate, apprehended two individuals of Arab nationality and one Iraqi citizen. These individuals were reportedly involved in unauthorized hunting activities in the Muthanna desert.

The statement further noted that an additional arrest was made by the Dhi Qar Customs Police Station, which is part of the Fourth Region Customs Police Directorate. This arrest involved another individual accused of hunting without the required official approvals. The authorities have transferred all accused to
the competent authority to proceed with the necessary legal actions against them.
