Iraq Pledges Support for Arab Issues at Al-Riyadh Summit.


Baghdad: Government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi confirmed Iraq’s commitment to supporting Arab issues and its efforts to ensure the success of the Al-Riyadh Summit. Al-Awadi emphasized Iraq’s intention to mobilize Arab support for the Palestinian cause and halt Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon during the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Awadi stated, “Iraq seeks to make this summit a platform to support the Palestinians and the Lebanese,” highlighting the Prime Minister’s emphasis on the summit’s importance in enhancing Arab cooperation and confronting challenges. The spokesman stressed Iraq’s dedication to presenting the summit as a platform for stability and development, underlining the country’s view of the summit as a significant step towards strengthening regional cooperation and achieving stability among Arab nations.

Al-Awadi further noted Iraq’s aspiration to reshape the image of the Arab world through security, dialogue, and cooperation. He in
dicated that Baghdad’s participation in the Riyadh summit reflects its desire to reinforce relationships with its Arab neighbors. Additionally, the spokesman mentioned Iraq’s readiness to reclaim its historical role as a leading force for Arab countries in addressing external challenges, viewing the Al-Riyadh Summit as an opportunity to demonstrate its capability in driving Arab cooperation.
