Riyadh: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein engaged in discussions with his Lebanese and Syrian counterparts in Riyadh to address the current challenges and developments in the regional situation in the Middle East.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement indicating that the Foreign Minister met with Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdullah Bou Habib and Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the foreign ministers’ meetings of Arab and Islamic countries in the Saudi capital.

The discussions focused on the pressing challenges and developments impacting the Middle East. The ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination to confront shared challenges and achieve regional stability. They highlighted the necessity of halting the ongoing war in the region and urged the international community to take action,
adhere to international resolutions, and work towards solutions that bolster security and stability.
