Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has emphasized the crucial role of the country’s diplomatic missions in portraying Iraq as a stable nation. This statement was made during a gathering with Iraqi ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions, held in Baghdad to commemorate the centenary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the eighth ambassadors’ conference.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani highlighted the achievements of his government over the past two years, focusing on creating a positive investment environment that has attracted major international companies to Iraq. This development has significantly contributed to the country’s economic movement and development. He reiterated that Iraqi diplomatic missions have the responsibility to communicate Iraq’s stability and the progress made by its people to the international community.

Al-Sudani also discussed Iraq’s consistent and principled stance on regional developments. He noted the government’s success in maintain
ing balance and avoiding the fallout from regional conflicts, as well as its achievements in concluding the presence of the international coalition against ISIS and the political mission of the United Nations in Iraq. Additionally, he praised the successful execution of a nationwide population census, which showcased the country’s stability and cooperation among its citizens.

The Prime Minister engaged with several heads of diplomatic missions, urging them to prioritize the needs of Iraqi citizens living abroad by maintaining communication and providing necessary services.
