Hillah: Unidentified persons opened fire on a primary school in central Hillah, the center of Babylon Governorate, on Wednesday evening.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source stated that armed men, riding a motorcycle, targeted Zahrat Al-Madain Primary School in the Al-Rida neighborhood. The attackers used light weapons, resulting in smashed glass and causing material damage to the school, before fleeing to an unknown destination.

The source further revealed that the police have disseminated descriptions of the attackers and have initiated a large-scale campaign to track them down.
