AMARA: Maysan Police Command successfully liberated a kidnapped truck driver and apprehended three suspects in the city of Amara. The operation also led to the seizure of a weapon from the suspects, marking a significant breakthrough in the case.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident began when the truck driver was abducted by individuals traveling in a Hyundai Elantra. Upon receiving the report, police swiftly circulated the vehicle’s description, enabling them to locate and pursue the suspects. The coordinated efforts of the police resulted in the safe release of the victim and the arrest of the three kidnappers.

The statement from Maysan Police Command confirmed that a pistol was found in possession of one of the suspects.
