Baghdad Operations Lead to Arrest of 11 in Drug Trafficking Cases


Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of 11 individuals involved in drug trafficking and promotion cases in the Karkh district.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command detailed that the “Karkh Emergency Regiments Directorate” conducted several security operations, including search and inspection duties and the establishment of temporary surprise checkpoints.



These operations resulted in the apprehension of 11 individuals under various legal charges, including members of a gang involved in drug trafficking and promotion. Seized items included crystal meth, drug abuse devices, an electronic scale, and unlicensed weapons and ammunition. These arrests were made within the jurisdiction of the Karkh area, showcasing the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes.
