Najaf: An affiliate of the Najaf Police was killed, and others were injured, including two officers, during a raid aimed at arresting a person accused of burning cars, according to an official security source in the Najaf Police Command. The incident occurred in the residential complexes area as law enforcement attempted to apprehend the suspect.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suspect opened fire on the police detachment, leading to the death of a policeman and injuries to two officers at the Al-Amirat Residential Complex Police Station, located north of Najaf. One officer sustained serious injuries and was promptly transferred to the hospital, where he was admitted to the operating room. The other injured individuals received necessary medical treatment.
