Jenin: The Spokesman for the Palestinian security forces, Brigadier General Anwar Rajab, announced today, Tuesday, that an Israeli force stormed the city of Jenin and its camp, which resulted in the injury of a number of Palestinian civilians and members of the security forces. Rajab said in an official statement: “In light of the continuation of the series of Israeli attacks on our people, an army force stormed the city and camp of Jenin today, Tuesday, and during the storming process, opened fire on citizens and security forces, which resulted in the injury of many citizens and a number of members of the security forces, one of whom was in a coma.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 10 injuries with varying degrees of severity arrived at Ibn Sina Specialized, Al-Amal, and Al-Shifa hospitals due to the Israeli targeting today in the city of Jenin and its camp. Two martyrs were also confirmed by the Palestinian Media Center, which coincided with the storming of the city by Israeli forces, supported by a large number of vehicles from the Jalameh military checkpoint.
Local sources detailed that a doctor and a nurse were injured by Israeli forces’ bullets in Al-Amal Hospital near Jenin camp. The storming also involved Israeli drones bombing a vehicle near Al-Zahraa School in the vicinity of Jenin camp, although no injuries were reported there. Meanwhile, Apache helicopters fired bullets into the skies of Jenin camp.
The sources further reported that Israeli forces deployed snipers in the Al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin camp, opening heavy fire on citizens. Eyewitnesses also noted an injury in Al-Damj neighborhood in the camp. Since yesterday, Israeli forces have been installing iron gates at the entrances to towns and villages in the West Bank, effectively turning them into isolated areas, thereby restricting the movement of citizens and imposing collective punishment.
