Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command has refuted claims that it shot down two drones attempting to enter the airspace of the holy Kadhimiya area.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command released a statement addressing the reports circulated on social media. The statement clarified that the two drones were indeed brought down, but they belonged to the Baghdad Operations Command itself. It confirmed that there was no security breach or indication of such during the days of the visit.
The clarification aims to dispel any misinformation and reassure the public about the safety and security measures in place around Kadhimiya. The Command emphasized that there was no unauthorized drone activity or security threat detected in the area.
