305 Trucks.. Egypt Launches the Largest Humanitarian Aid Convoy to the Gaza Strip

Cairo: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly launched the largest comprehensive humanitarian aid convoy to the people of the Gaza Strip under the slogan “We Partner for Humanity”.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the aid convoy launched by Egypt included 305 trucks loaded with tons of goods and humanitarian aid estimated at 4,200 tons of food and humanitarian aid and 11 equipped ambulances.

The Egyptian aid trucks include medical equipment and supplies, medicines, ambulances, and huge quantities of dry food and edible food without cooking (canned food), clothes, blankets, milk, and baby food.

The Egyptian Prime Minister stressed his country’s pivotal and pioneering role towards the countries of the region that are witnessing crises, especially the Arab countries, led by our brothers in the Gaza Strip.

Madbouly explained that this is the fifth convoy that the Tahya Misr Fund, along with civil society institutions, is running to provide aid and relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Tahya Misr Fund, Tamer Abdel Fattah, confirmed that the convoy included medical equipment, supplies, and essential medicines to supply Palestinian hospitals and ensure the continuation of medical care for the population in light of the critical humanitarian situation they are suffering from.

He explained that due to the difficult circumstances that the displaced are going through after losing their homes and properties under the weight of the war, there is an urgent need for winter clothes, as the convoy included huge quantities of clothes suitable for all age groups in addition to blankets and carpets.
