Security Media: Bodies of 5 Terrorists Found After an Airstrike in Northern Rawah


Rawah: The Security Media Cell announced the discovery of the bodies of 5 terrorists after an airstrike in northern Rawah.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement from the Security Media Cell detailed that an airstrike was conducted by F-16 aircraft in the northern Rawah region within the Al-Jazeera Operations Command sector. This operation was a result of precise information and coordinated efforts from the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, the Military Intelligence Directorate, and the National Security Service. Continuous monitoring and planning by the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command led to the targeting of a terrorist hideout.



A force from the 7th Division in Al-Jazeera Operations Command, led by the division commander and supervised by the Al-Jazeera Operations Commander, along with the Military Intelligence Directorate Reconnaissance Battalion and the engineering effort, conducted a search at the site of the successful airstrike. They found the bodies of 5 terrorists, including one who was identified as an ISIS leader pending further examination. The operation also uncovered medium and light weapons, ammunition, explosive belts, hand grenades, logistical materials, mobile devices, and other criminal exhibits.



The search operation is ongoing within the sector of responsibility. The statement emphasized that the security forces are determined to continue their pursuit of terrorist groups, ensuring their inevitable defeat as they have no refuge on Iraqi soil. The forces are committed to bringing justice to these defeated groups, stating that neither caves nor desert areas will shield them from the determined strikes of the Iraqi forces. Death is deemed their certain fate.
