Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu’ayyad Al-Lami, engaged in discussions today with a delegation from the Hussein Holy Shrine concerning the implementation of measures to guarantee medical treatment for ailing journalists at the hospitals associated with the shrine.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Lami welcomed the specialized medical delegation from the Hussein Holy Shrine, which included Dr. Ali Al-Sheikh Radhi, Vice President of the Warith Charitable Foundation, and Dr. Tahseen Al-Attar, a consultant at the foundation. Al-Lami expressed his gratitude towards Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, the legal custodian of the shrine, for his cooperative and supportive role towards the journalistic community.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a cooperation protocol between the Syndicate and the Hussein Holy Shrine. This protocol aims to facilitate the treatment of journalists at the hospitals of the shrine. It was agreed that the announcement of this collaborati
on would be made in the presence of colleagues, heads of media institutions, and the heads of the Syndicate’s branches across various governorates.
