Washington: US President Donald Trump dismissed Air Force General Charles Brown from his position as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Brown continued to serve in this capacity for 16 months before the announcement of his dismissal.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump announced the nomination of Lieutenant General Dan Razin Kane as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The President highlighted Kane’s qualifications, describing him as “an experienced pilot, a national security expert, a successful businessman, and a fighter with extensive experience in joint and special operations.”
