Baghdad: The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, announced that he had a “fruitful discussion” with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad, referring to al-Sudani as a friend.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani shared a tweet on the “X” platform, which included a picture of him alongside al-Sudani. In his tweet, Barzani expressed his pleasure in meeting with the Prime Minister, stating, “I am always happy to meet my friend Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. We had a fruitful discussion this morning in Baghdad about the latest developments in the country, the stability of the region more broadly, and other pressing issues.”

The dialogue between al-Sudani and Barzani took place following their participation in the seventh “Baghdad International Dialogue” conference, held in the capital city of Baghdad.
