Gaza City: The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” announced that the Israeli authorities have not yet delivered the lists of Palestinian prisoners scheduled to be released today. This delay has been a point of contention as the release was part of an agreement between the two parties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hazem Qassem, the Movement’s Spokesman, stated that the negotiations for the second phase of the agreement have not yet commenced. He explained that contacts are still ongoing with mediators to push forward the implementation of the agreed-upon terms.

Qassem emphasized that the Movement is committed to the ceasefire agreement. He stressed that their commitment remains contingent upon the other party fulfilling its obligations. The delay in the delivery of the lists is seen as a significant hurdle in the ongoing peace process.
