Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, emphasized the urgent need to resolve the ongoing humanitarian migration issue by facilitating the safe return of all displaced individuals to their original homes. This statement was made during a meeting at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad with the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on the conditions and needs of displaced persons, who continue to live under challenging circumstances in displacement camps. The President underscored the importance of addressing this humanitarian concern by ensuring their safe return to their communities.
The President also highlighted the necessity of coordination between the Ministry of Immigration, relevant ministries, and international human rights organizations. He commended the Ministry’s efforts and expressed the Presidency’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at resolving the plight of the displaced as swiftly as possible.
Minister Evan Faeq Jabro expressed gratitude for the President’s concern and detailed the Ministry’s plan to ensure the return of displaced individuals and migrants to their areas, marking a significant step towards resolving the displacement crisis.
