Beirut: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized that peace cannot be achieved without liberating all Lebanese territories according to international demarcation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Aoun made this declaration during his speech at an emergency Arab summit. He highlighted that parts of Lebanon remain occupied by Israel and that there are Lebanese prisoners held by Israel. Aoun affirmed that Lebanon has returned to its charter and Arab legitimacy, signaling a commitment to regional frameworks and agreements.
President Aoun further elaborated on regional issues, stating that the destruction of cities like Beirut, Damascus, and the instability in Sanaa do not contribute to a victory for Palestine. He warned against involving Palestine in conflicts and disputes, arguing that such involvement is detrimental and not in Palestine’s interest.
