Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired the periodic meeting of the Supreme Water Committee today, discussing various topics on its agenda and making decisions and directives related to them.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement indicating that Al-Sudani has directed the Ministry of Construction and Housing, specifically the General Directorate of Water, to submit a comprehensive study focused on automation and electronic collection. This directive aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts toward administrative reform and electronic transformation.

Furthermore, the meeting led to the approval of recommendations aimed at developing water management within the agricultural sector, marking a significant step in addressing water-related challenges in Iraq.
