United Nations: Iraq Hosts More Than 300,000 Arab and Foreign Refugees


Baghdad: Iraq hosts more than 300,000 Arab and foreign refugees.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that Iraq is currently providing refuge to over 300,000 individuals from Arab and foreign countries.

The commission confirmed in a statement that Iraq is experiencing a state of stability and is advancing towards sustainable development.

Additionally, UNHCR highlighted that out of the 300,000 refugees, 90% are Syrians, demonstrating Iraq’s significant role in supporting displaced individuals from neighboring conflict zones.
