Jeddah: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed on Friday that Iran will continue its negotiations with other countries regarding its nuclear program, but will not enter into any direct dialogue with the United States under the policy of “maximum pressure” and US sanctions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi stated in a press release reported by Iranian media during the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that US pressure will not force Iran to negotiate. He emphasized that any dialogue must be conducted within the framework of mutual respect, rather than coercion and political blackmail.

Araqchi also addressed Israeli threats against Iran’s nuclear program, dismissing them as mere illusions. He asserted that the technology Iran possesses is deeply ingrained in minds, making it impervious to destruction by bombs.

Furthermore, Araqchi warned against any attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, asserting that Tehran is prepared to respond with significant force, in a proportionate and balanced manner. He added that any aggression against Iran would be met with a similar response against Israel.
