Counter-Terrorism Service Arrests Terrorist and Drug Dealer, Destroys Multiple Hideouts


Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of a terrorist and a drug dealer, as well as the destruction of several hideouts in various regions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the service stated in a statement that, in coordination with the Operations Directorate of the Asayish Service of the Kurdistan Region, they successfully apprehended a terrorist in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.



The statement further noted that, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities, a drug dealer was captured in Dhi Qar Governorate.



The operations did not stop there, as a series of actions were conducted to clear and search ISIS terrorist hideouts, tunnels, and caves. This led to the destruction of four hideouts and three caves in Salah al-Din Governorate. Additionally, in cooperation with the National Security Service, another hideout was destroyed in Wadi al-Shai, Kirkuk Governorate.
