Hillah: The detachments of the Babylon Governorate Police Command have successfully apprehended a gang of six individuals involved in the theft of motorcycles in the Alexandria area.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was initiated following a noticeable increase in theft cases, prompting the formation of a specialized team in collaboration with the judiciary. Brigadier General Adel Al-Hussaini, the Babylon Police Media Director, stated that intensive surveillance operations led to the setting up of an ambush in coordination with the 2nd Regiment of the 22nd Federal Police Brigade. This strategic move resulted in the arrest of six suspects from a neighboring governorate, who confessed to committing multiple thefts in the district and planning another vehicle theft.
Further investigations led to the arrest of another gang member in his governorate. Authorities seized stolen goods from his possession, including three motorcycles and a “Satouta” bike. The suspects have been handed over to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.
