Basra: A number of suspects were arrested and narcotics along with firearms were seized in their possession by the Basra Police.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Police Command released a statement detailing the operation. The operation, conducted under the directives of Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Saad, involved the Rescue and Patrols Department in collaboration with the Crime Control Department. The operation successfully resulted in the arrest of several suspects who were riding motorcycles, with narcotics and pistols found in their possession.

The statement emphasized that this operation is part of the Basra Police Command’s ongoing efforts to pursue wanted individuals and eliminate sources of crime, aiming to maintain security and stability within the province. The command also confirmed that the suspects have been handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
