Kirkuk: A policeman was killed in front of Al-Quriyah police station in the center of Kirkuk after a drunk man attempted to break into the station.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident began when the intoxicated individual requested to stay overnight at the police station. When the policeman on duty refused the request, the man attacked him, stabbing the officer and seizing his weapon. The attacker then used the weapon to shoot the policeman before fleeing the scene. Pursuing officers later caught up with the suspect, who was subsequently killed.
