Baghdad: Oil prices rose slightly on Tuesday, supported by Chinese stimulus plans, but global growth concerns and US tariffs limited gains. Brent crude futures rose 17 cents, or 0.2%, to $71.24 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 14 cents, or 0.2%, to $67.72 a barrel.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the slight increase in oil prices was driven by China’s efforts to stimulate its economy, which boosted market sentiment. However, concerns about global economic growth and the impact of US tariffs on international trade tempered the gains in oil prices.
