Hamas Accuses Israeli Government of Violating Ceasefire Agreement

Gaza City: Hamas condemned on Tuesday the Israeli airstrikes carried out by the Israeli army on sites in the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hamas released a statement holding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government fully responsible for the airstrikes and their repercussions on Gaza, defenseless civilians, and the besieged Palestinian population.

The statement further accused Netanyahu and his government of overturning the ceasefire agreement, thereby exposing prisoners in Gaza to an uncertain fate. Hamas called upon mediators to hold Netanyahu and the Israeli government accountable for the violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Additionally, the statement urged the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to fulfill their responsibilities in supporting the Palestinian people. It appealed to the United Nations and the UN Security Council to convene urgently and adopt a resolution demanding an end to the aggression and adherence to Resolution 2735, which calls for a halt to the aggression and withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
