Person Wanted Under Anti-Terrorism Law Arrested in Jableh District


Hillah: A joint force from the National Security Service, in cooperation with the Babylon Police, successfully arrested a person wanted under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law. The arrest took place in an ambush set up in the Jableh district, located north of Hillah.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, intelligence information was crucial in orchestrating the ambush that led to the capture. The operation occurred on Thursday evening, targeting an individual who was sought after under the specific provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Law.



Following the arrest, the police transferred the accused to the relevant authorities for further investigation. The authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the nature of the charges or the identity of the suspect. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts of security forces to address anti-terrorism concerns in the region.
