Washington: In a new move to combat “old enemies,” US President Donald Trump revoked the security clearances of both Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton on Friday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a memo issued by the White House detailed that US President Donald Trump had revoked the security clearances of former Vice President Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and others. This decision marks a continuation of Trump’s efforts to limit access to sensitive information for those he views as political adversaries.
Notably, Trump had previously revoked the security clearance of former President Joe Biden, a prominent Democrat. This action aligns with a pattern of Trump targeting individuals who have been significant rivals in his political career.
Trump’s history with both Harris and Clinton is well-documented. He ran against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and faced Kamala Harris in the election last year. The revocation of their security clearances is seen as part of his broader strategy to distance his administration from past political opponents.
