Minister of Culture Engages with Venezuelan Ambassador on Joint Cultural Initiatives


Baghdad: Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, discussed with Venezuelan Ambassador Arturo Anibal Gallegos Ramirez ways to support and develop cultural relations between the two countries, which share many commonalities and ties built on friendship and brotherhood.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badrani stressed that this meeting is of particular importance as it discusses the necessary measures to develop a cultural exchange agreement that will enhance cooperation in the field of artistic activities, centers, and cultural heritage through a number of mutual events.



The meeting emphasized the strong friendship between Iraq and Venezuela, mutual cooperation in various fields, and the necessity of cultural exchange and joint events. A number of programs and activities that will be held soon were also reviewed, including the establishment of Iraqi-Venezuelan cultural festivals and weeks.



For his part, the Venezuelan Ambassador expressed his country’s desire to develop relations between the two countries, especially with regard to the transportation sector in general and air transport in particular, which would positively reflect on strengthening the tourism sector between the two countries and open new horizons for the Venezuelan people to visit Iraq and learn about its antiquities and the history of its civilizations.
