Ramallah: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa called for holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in Ramallah, Mustafa stressed the importance of international recognition of the destruction in Gaza and ongoing aggression in the West Bank. He highlighted issues such as the destruction of homes and infrastructure, forced displacement of Palestinians, and attacks on holy sites in al-Quds and al-Khalil.

Mustafa urged for continued international efforts to end the occupation and ensure accountability for Israel’s actions. He emphasized the European Union’s recognition of Palestinian rights as a source of hope and expressed a commitment to a future of peace and justice.

Kaja Kallas, the European official, stated that she discussed the Arab plan for Gaza with the Palestinian Prime Minister, which the European Union strongly supports. She affirmed the EU’s role in rebuilding Gaza and criticized Israeli actions in the West Bank, citing destruction, displacement, settler violence, and settlement activity as threats to the two-state solution, which she views as essential for sustainable peace.
