Baghdad: Minister of Trade, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghariri, discussed on Tuesday with the Brazilian Ambassador to Iraq, Luis Evaldos Villafa±e, and his accompanying delegation ways to develop joint economic relations between the two countries. Al-Ghariri emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations at all levels and seeking new channels of communication to serve both nations, highlighting Brazil’s distinguished role in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions included the possibility of forming joint committees to provide a realistic vision of the business environment in Iraq and to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries. Efforts will also focus on removing obstacles preventing Brazilian companies from entering the Iraqi market.

The Brazilian Ambassador expressed his country’s strong interest in entering the Iraqi market, particularly in infrastructure, through the involvement of Brazilian companies, investors, and businessmen. This participation aims to boost bilateral cooperation and partnerships across various economic and commercial fields.

The Brazilian delegation extended an invitation to the Minister of Trade to visit Brazil to explore the economic and commercial landscape and potential investment opportunities. The Minister acknowledged the significance of this visit in strengthening cooperation and deepening trade relations for the mutual benefit of both national economies.
