Erdogan Commits Turkey’s Support to Palestinians Amid Escalating Conflict


Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people, pledging continued humanitarian aid and diplomatic efforts to advocate for peace and justice.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan’s comments were made during the award ceremony for the Most Beautiful Quran Recitation Competition in Ankara. He asserted that Turkey would provide all necessary support to the Palestinian cause and work to end the suffering in Gaza.



Erdogan called for unity within the Islamic world and condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza, accusing Israel of committing genocide. He criticized the silence of Western powers and highlighted the deliberate targeting of hospitals and healthcare workers by Israeli forces. He claimed that 80% of Gaza has been destroyed due to heavy bombardment.



The Turkish president expressed his hope for the blessed Laylat al-Qadr to bring liberation to oppressed peoples in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia, and other regions, fostering unity among Islamic communities.
