Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he may visit Saudi Arabia as early as next month, marking what would be his first foreign visit since returning to power on January 20. He stated, “My trip to Saudi Arabia could be next month, maybe a little later, and we might go to the UAE, Qatar, and other countries.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump addressed reporters from the Oval Office at the White House, highlighting the importance of his previous visit to Saudi Arabia. During that visit, Saudi Arabia agreed to purchase $450 billion worth of American goods, including military equipment. Trump emphasized his intention to secure further economic commitments, noting that Saudi Arabia has agreed to invest nearly a trillion dollars in American companies, which he believes will create jobs in the United States.

Trump also discussed trade tariffs, expressing his determination to address what he described as unfair trade practices. He announced plans to take action on April 2nd to
prevent countries from exploiting the US economically. He claimed that some countries have been taking advantage of the US for five decades, and he is committed to reversing this trend. Trump highlighted the impact of his tariff policies, which he said have encouraged companies to relocate factories from China to the US.

Regarding the possibility of running for a third term as president, Trump mentioned that many people have urged him to consider it, although he has not yet made any decisions. He stated that he still has four years remaining in his current term before contemplating another run. When asked about the prospect of facing Barack Obama in a hypothetical third-term election, Trump expressed enthusiasm, saying he would welcome the opportunity to run against Obama.
