Antalya: Iraq has shown its support for the talks scheduled to take place today between Iran and the United States in Oman. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein expressed his welcome for the discussions during a meeting in Antalya, Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that Fuad Hussein met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh at his residence in Antalya. The meeting was part of the Iranian delegation’s participation in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. Discussions during the meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways to strengthen these in various fields.

Fuad Hussein expressed optimism about the scheduled talks in Oman, hoping they would lead to positive outcomes contributing to regional stability. The discussions between the two ministers also included current regional developments, particularly in Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. The Iraqi Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of regio
nal dialogue and cooperation in addressing these issues.

Additionally, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister extended an official invitation to Fuad Hussein to attend the Tehran Dialogue Forum, set to be held from May 16 to 19.
