Baghdad: President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, emphasized the necessity for a unified stance among all political forces to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people. A presidential statement revealed that the President met with Nizar Mohammed Saeed, head of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), in Baghdad on Sunday. The discussions covered the political and security situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, alongside regional developments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid underscored the importance of coordination and cooperation to enhance harmony, cohesion, and peaceful coexistence among Iraqi society’s components. He highlighted the urgency of forming the Kurdistan Regional Government to ensure its role in providing services to citizens and addressing regional and international challenges.

The dialogue further explored the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the continuation of consultations and meetings to resolve outstanding issues based on the law, the constitution, and political understandings.
