Baghdad: The Baghdad International Fair has announced that the Security, Defense, and Military Industries Exhibition will commence next Saturday, featuring participation from 23 Arab and foreign countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the event, titled IQDEX2025, is organized by the United Company for International Exhibitions and Conferences in collaboration with the Iraqi State Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services, a division of the Ministry of Trade. The exhibition is scheduled to open on April 19 at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds.

The exhibition will feature a diverse range of more than 150 local, Arab, and international companies from over 20 countries. These exhibitors will present the latest military technologies, equipment, modern defense systems, and smart solutions in security and safety.

Mustafa Al-Ani, Director General of the Iraqi State Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services, emphasized the significance of the exhibition as a platform to foster international cooperation in security and defense. He highlighted its role in facilitating the exchange of technical and scientific expertise among countries and specialized companies, underscoring Iraq’s emerging status in hosting major economic and security events.

Al-Ani also noted that the exhibition would offer an interactive environment for companies and both official and private security agencies to explore the latest innovations in this critical sector. He commended the efforts of the organizing company and participants in ensuring the success of this important event.

The exhibition will run until April 22 and will include specialized seminars and dialogue sessions with experts and specialists from various countries.
