Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandlawi convened with the Chairman of BP in Iraq, Zaid Al-Yasiri, to explore prospects for advancing the oil and energy sector. The meeting, held in Al-Mandlawi’s office, included MP Ali Shaddad, focusing on reviewing BP’s strategic projects and addressing challenges faced by international companies in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandlawi emphasized the legislative authority’s commitment to fostering economic development by bolstering cooperation with reputable international firms. He highlighted the need to provide incentives and create a stable investment environment to attract global businesses.

Al-Mandlawi underscored the significance of transferring technology and international expertise to Iraqi professionals. He advocated for training programs to enhance local skills and encouraged participation in infrastructure projects within the energy sector, such as pipelines and refineries, to promote sustainable development.
