Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate has issued a call to the public, urging citizens, particularly those within the press community and their families, to promptly update their electoral data. This plea is directed towards ensuring effective and widespread participation in the forthcoming legislative elections by visiting the Independent High Electoral Commission’s centers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syndicate emphasized that updating electoral data is a crucial step in safeguarding citizens’ rights to select representatives who truly express their aspirations. This process is a vital component of democratic practice, contributing to state-building and the fortification of constitutional institutions.

The Syndicate further highlighted the pivotal national role that all Iraqis must undertake during this critical period. It urged journalists, media professionals, and its branches across the governorates to initiate awareness campaigns. These campaigns aim to promote the culture of updating voter records and participation, underscoring the significance of this action in achieving the anticipated positive change.
