Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Monday ratifying the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Iran, which was signed last January.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the agreement stipulates that the two parties will seek to deepen and expand relations in all areas of mutual interest, enhance cooperation in the field of security and defense, and closely coordinate activities at the regional and global levels. The agreement also allows for the possibility of joint investments in the economies of third countries.

On January 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed this new comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, with the aim of creating conditions for stable and sustainable development.
