Baghdad: Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari met in his office on Monday with Atul Khare, Under-Secretary-General for Operational Support of the United Nations, and his accompanying delegation. A statement from the Minister’s office highlighted that several topics of common interest were discussed during the meeting, focusing on ongoing coordination and joint cooperation to benefit both parties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister emphasized the important role of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) and its efforts in various areas, particularly security. For his part, the head of the delegation expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior for his commitment to communication and facilitating the mission’s work in Iraq. He also commended the Ministry of Interior’s efforts in enhancing security stability and creating a secure environment for all residents and visitors in Iraq.
