Dhi Qar: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani highlighted the necessity of maintaining the rule of law and safeguarding both private and public rights. During a meeting with leaders of security and military formations and agencies in Dhi Qar Governorate, al-Sudani emphasized these priorities as crucial for the region’s development.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces chaired the meeting, underlining the stable security situation in the governorate as a foundation for launching service and development projects. Al-Sudani inaugurated three significant projects: the Integrated Medical City, infrastructure improvements in the Souq al-Shuyukh district, and the Nasiriyah power station.
Al-Sudani called for vigilance and caution in addressing security challenges, urging security personnel to remain alert to any potential disruptions. He expressed confidence in the professionalism of the security services, pledging support as long as operations were conducted in line with the law and proper procedures.
Further, al-Sudani directed increased coordination among security agencies to enforce the law effectively. He also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to combat drug trafficking, recognizing the substantial threat it poses to society.
