Nasiriyah: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of the Nasiriyah Combined Cycle Power Plant project in enhancing the electricity supply in the national grid. The project, which boasts a capacity of 921 megawatts, is considered a significant development for the region’s energy infrastructure.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani highlighted the implementation of this project by the German company Siemens within the boundaries of the Nasiriyah Steam Power Plant. He noted that the facility would operate using natural gas, with potential future integration of hydrogen blending technology, marking a step towards modernizing Iraq’s energy sector.
