Interior Minister Engages in Dialogue with Saudi Counterpart on Hajj Pilgrims’ Departures and Security Coordination


Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Hajj Pilgrims’ Departures to Holy Sites and security coordination between the two brotherly countries.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Interior said: “The Minister arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, Monday, accompanied by the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Commission, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi.”



Al-Shammari held a meeting with his Saudi counterpart to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest, including the Hajj Pilgrims’ Departures to Holy Sites and joint security coordination between the two brotherly countries.



The Saudi Interior Minister welcomed this visit, praising the cooperation between the two neighboring countries in various fields, especially security.
